It's just so sad to see my mum describing how much pain and suffering my grandma is dealing right now.The burden on my grandfather and the young maid, it just breaks my heart utterly.

It is clear that we are all mentally preparing for the worst after my grandma's recent fall. She doesn't eat right nor can she walk now.Her daily movements are by wheelchair and with the help of my grandpa and the maid. My grandpa's love and care for my grandma for so many years inspires me to be a great and humble man.

Let's talk about my grandma today and share with you some memorable experiences when I was young.When I was really young, being the eldest grandson.. I was so mischievous but I love hanging out with my grandma! They used to live at Kallang Terrace House with 2 floors, loved running up and down the stairs. Currently they reside at Sembawang HDB.

During my younger days, I look forward to every weekend when all our relatives will gather at my grandparents' place for some family time. Fun and laughter during that time was very much enjoyable. Life was simple and amazing!Sometimes I stayed over during my holidays with my grandparents and although during that time Technology was not so advanced, it's was very much fulfilling for me personally.

My grandma would bring me to the playground (back then there was still sand and concrete slides!), buying me my favourite durian snack and potong ice cream. During the mornings I stayed over, I would accompany my grandparents to the wet market to buy food. My all time favourite dish by her was handmade Ngoh Hiang (Best I tell u!). I would help her make the ngoh hiangs and then eating it first hand, it was very satisfying.

However, there was once I was so homesick, I pestered to go home.. resulting in my grandma panicking and had a heart attack. Back then, I was too young to understand the seriousness of it but I do appreciate all the life lessons she imparted to me. Be honest in myself and always look at the bright side of life.As years goes by, all of us grew up and naturally drift further apart. However, I will still make it a point to visit when I have the chance and during those important occasions. It is always nice to see her smile and appreciation that we all come together as a family every now and then.

During my teenage years, things were very rough for my family but she always manage to keep a smile on my face whenever I visited. It is like a bright light piercing through the darkness I had in my heart. As the eldest grand child, I've always try to set an example for my other cousins and make my grandparents proud. The proudest thing however, in my opinion, was for me to step out of my darkest days and strived. They were so happy to hear I got a job in a reputable law firm that I can see tears in their eyes. I know they are proud of me and what I could achieve, for that kept me going on till now.

The last couple of years were tough on them, my grandpa had cancer and my grandma got senile. It was hard for me to swallow to see them slowly fade away, however they kept strong and my grandpa especially, supported my grandma single-handedly these years. With the sudden passing of my uncle, the burden on my grandpa financially was straining but thank god they had such wonderful children. We all chipped in every now and then to make sure they lead a decent life.My grandparents had a hand in making me who I am now, and I never looked back. Although sometimes I beat myself up as I can't help much to my family and to my grandparents, I have to pick myself up quickly because that's what I was taught.

Words can't describe how much I respect and love my grandparents, all I can do now is hope for their final hurdle to be pain-free and happy.

Final words, I love you grandma and grandpa. Even though you (my grandma) might have vague memories of who I am, but I will never forget the life lessons.

Worst day in my 2009..

It's coming to Christmas, a season of joy and laughter.. yet I got a bunch of shits today.

Got a surgery to extract my bottom left wisdom tooth last week and on MC for the week. Even though I'm on MC, I was worried about my work and even amended my work at home to help out my poor colleagues covering for me.

What the f*** do I get? A scolding from someone that didn't even understand what's going on with the file. Scolded me for not being prudent on the file? Wtf.. at work, I can say I always give the best even though I can manage time to gossip etc. Didn't I try to oblige everytime they need help? A split second there, I thought I wasn't part of the company.

Best thing is to reprimand me on things I already attended to probably a week ago and now that's its urgent. Infront of a new intern as well? humiliating me, rock bottom feeling today. Was I that useless? Perhaps so. Maybe I shall be one, maybe I should turn a blind eye sometimes. Maybe I should stop trying to make work easier for everyone as well. 3 years of hardwork seems like a waste of time to me now.

You implied I'm slow and probably incompetent enough to handle many files at one time? Fine, I will be that WAY. Not like I'm getting paid alot? I can't even save much with my current salary with all the commitments I have to my family.

Whining I am, but he will never see things poor chaps like me see. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I do not have the required paperworks, but I always try my best to make it through my ideas and my hardwork.

3 years down the road, easily I see many flaws in our company system. I know I'm cheap and maintainable, but to suck me dry of my energy and put me down like an animal just doesn't suit me. I held my anger in, I kept silent not because I admit it's my mistake, but it's futile to even argue as your mindset is already set. I was sentenced to a crime I didn't do.

The anger in me, the tears I've shed. I have seen all these in many of my colleagues. And today I finally realised why they are so hurt, disappointed etc.

TODAY shall be a new start for me, wishful thinking of me to even have a dream of a better future. Now that I've seen the judgement, I shall not dare to dream anymore. Ppl always say "What goes around, comes around" and I will surely repay the deeds.

Now, to look forward to 2010, with new perspectives and goals. I'm finally enlightened and shall not make the mistakes many did.

It has come to such end for me... thanks all who have walked the path with me these few years..

My poor mum, who once again had to fork out her savings to save our house.. but even this time, she can't do much as she's practically dried up..

I am so frustrated, with all the money owing, nothing was spent on us.. how much I wanted a new TV to just play my XBOX 360, I have to brush that aside as I simply cannot afford to spend that kind of money.. So constrained and so empty inside me..

Told my mum, I will leave this empty house soon enough, shouldnt be a problem finding another place to stay...

There's simply no way to stop me from leaving now, enough is enough... and hopefully my brother will strive hard in his studies and earn big bucks to help me support my mum in future.. Meanwhile, I'm still saving for my ideal home.. This is a little hope that I still hold on to.. a hope for a better future..

Things changed, I will have to change as well, and to all those emo ppl out there... dont give up.. there's always ppl way worse than your situation.. for me example.. Don't dwell in things that you can't salvage, walk bravely to the future.. Stopping in time and being emo will only make you no better than an empty shell..

Better off dead I say.. what's a human without a soul..

People asked why am I so quiet today at work.....

I can tell u I'm really calm after what happened and what was said about me and my colleagues. When I'm calm, that's not a good thing. Cos I am actually boiling inside and waiting for my opportunity to get my revenge.

We have nothing to do? True, I admit I'M DAMN FREE! Not because I have NOTHING to do, perhaps because I'm too fast at my work, I guess that's wrong? Why do others who "appear busy" are the good people Management? I dont blame you Mdm Lau, you are doing your job, but gotta get some facts right.

I believe our gang generate most of your freaking income these past 3 years. We are just being ourselves. Well yes I admit we got pretty rowdy at times. Ah that brings me to Ms Rotten Flower. Blaming us because of the noise you can't concentrate? well well, you always screw things up right and always so uptight.. No one likes your attitude, I am amazed how K tolerated you as her secretary... pretty tough on her huh?

Get jealous because of our work rate or because of us being so close? You dont have much friends do you? Did a guy even approach you before? I'm being mean here, because you have stepped over the line, just because I'm the Mr Nice Guy around doesn't mean I will tolerate nonsense on me and my friends. Get ready Ms Rotten Flower, Hell is coming =)

Well Well Management, I'm free huh? How about you increase my pathetic pay and I take on a Admin job cum Secretary job? Good deal for both of us? For people who watched movie with me before knows I always pay full attention to good movies.

Why am I so focused some ask... Well, for that short 1 hour 30mins ish of time, I feel like I'm living in the movie itself, in a new adventure every movie... Some times to be adventurous, sometime to be another character you always wanted to be... Be a superhero and save the world... etc etc

For that short span of time, I am happy / sad / full of emotions and forget abt the harsh reality..... for that time, I'm truly free of troubles... just the movie and myself...

Helped me from a defiant young punk to a diligent Geography student, helped me with kind words when I was down and lost... helped me when I almost fainted in school due to sickness and malnutrition.. I thank you for paving the path I am walking right now. To all my Secondary sisters and brothers who walked with me through my darkest hours (literally), I remember you all though we have lost contact for some..

My late granny who scrimped and save to give me whatever allowance she had to me, the love and concern she showered during her years.. All the family conflict that left you heartbroken countless times.. I'm so sorry I couldn't be more of a help to you during my young tender age, I'm sorry you have to live in poverty with me and still look out for me, I'm sorry I couldn't be there when you were at your last breath and when you called out my name. May you be happy with the Lord right now Ah Ma.. I never got to say this to you, I love you...

During ITE days, unfortunately I had to drop out due to family problems and me falling into depression. I remember you all my friends who were there. I'm sorry I pushed all of you away from my door during my dark hours.. I remember you all... Brother Chew, although you are pretty F-ed up, I remember you are the one that tried to stand by me during that time.. Thank you bro..

During my army days, I met a few good men and a particular female counsellor that changed my life totally. During my depression years in army, Encik Tay, you helped me and understood what I was going through. You were tolerant and always trust me and open to my opinions to facilitate faster work in army. You trained me to a soldier and a Man, am grateful to you always. You gave me something that helped me in my present job. Leadership.... =)

My Counsellor dedicated to me during army. Patient and listened to my grumblings, my tears and your precious advices... You showed me that in every dark situation, there's always a light. You gave me the strength to walk out of my loneliness and return back to the real world.. Thank you sis, u are an inspiration..

My mum.. I'm sorry I still cant do alot for the family yet.. You kept the family together no matter how tough the times were. Your savings were spent and gone due to useless father.. My tears flowed everytime you suffer by yourself and act strong.. Every packet of maggie mee you ate instead of a proper meal hurts me but I know you are saving money for all of us..

My brother, for fulfilling my expectations of him.. you made me proud.. You graduated with flying colors in ITE and proceeded to Poly.. you became wiser and more guai under my strict guidance. Sorry Kor can't give you a better life or better allowance, thank you for your understanding of our situation. You have grown and made me proud. Now prove to others they were wrong and excel in Poly! My friends I met through online, Shawn, Nick, Marcus, Regina to name some. You were there to provide me with a shelter and a outlet during my younger years and guide me in game or online. Don't think I've forgotten =)

Show Lo, badly affected by the recent "online dating scandal", got emotional and cried when he was hosting a variety show on Wednesday.

After a Hong Kong netizen named "Fanny" exposed her online relationship with the celebrity, three other female models also claimed that the latter had taken the initiative in befriending them, resulting in a series of reports that portrayed Lo as an "online player". I could show my middle finger to all those that wrote rubbish on 小豬, I think fans have all seen his hardworking and never-say-die spirit. Just because he tried to know some friends online and got wronged by the bitch or whoever tried to put him down. News have been flying around with more and more nonsense from magazines and media.. they even directed the attack to 小豬's mum who is totally innocent.. How evil can media be? To ppl who dont know abt the news, go goole it. On the webcam part, it's not like he's TOTALLY NAKED? What is wrong with a HALF NAKED BODY ON WEBCAM?! I have embedded 2 videos on 小豬 trying to explain himself once again and finally broke down..

Now you know why Jay Chou hate the media so much.. they wrote rubbish and every little detail or info they get, true or false, they will just make it juicier by posting more unreal stuffs. Directing your hurting comments to one's parent is despicable, I condemn you and your colleagues to hell too! Don't even dare to post your own name after writing the article, shows how small or insignificant your guts/balls are LOL.... So good at making things up why not go WRITE A BOOK? u can earn more money and respect that way. Wonder where they will go after they die, probably hell and get their hands chopped off and tongues cut off hahaha.. Ouch? Afraid now? Suck on my toes ppl!

This incident taught us a valuable lesson on online chatting. Hey, you wont even know if the other party has ulterior motive. Yes true, let's talk about sweet stuffs that happened online too. Recall many successful and across the globe online relationships that turn out blissfully? I knew Ah Wen online too and we are happily in love even after 6 years..

Oh btw, I'm not even a great fan of 小豬. Just felt that he is not a bad person at all and most of all, a guai son.

Some wishes I have...

Life is really tough and uncertain.. I have learnt to appreciate and be strong.. but as a mere human, I wish to pray that I can have the following:-

- a more complete and happy family
- my brother to complete his current poly studies
- provide a good life and hopefully home for Ah Wen
- to be rich enough to start a home of my own
- all my friends to have their own happiness
- life to be less painful for me
- my mum to suffer lesser
- to strive at my best in my work
- better health to all my love ones

Every 12th is my saddest day, payday for my so-called father and overnight it will be gone.. Every 20th is my payday and stressful day, I have to worry about my finance control to keep everything in check... yet, I try to smile everyday outside but cry when I'm back to my shithole in my so-called home..

Darkness have clouded 20+ years of my life... how long can I walk blindly in the dark and search for the light... God, can u hear my pleas...?

Sometimes I rather be a orphan, at least I might have the chance to choose a better family.... cos sometimes it just hurt so much that I dont wish to wake up...

Meanwhile I hope I brought some light to others with whatever problems they have and brought laughter and fun in their lives.. and maybe one day if I'm no longer around.. they will remember me..

Fast and Furious 4 (Movie Review) & Return of Eminem!

Movie Plot:

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker re-team for the ultimate chapter of the successful franchise built on fast cars and furious drivers. When crime brings them back to Los Angeles, fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Connor (Walker). However they are forced to confront a common enemy, so Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanoeuvre him. The two men go back to doing what they do best - push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel.

My Review:

Good old fast paced action movie. This movie's plot takes place before the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. We talk about what Dom is doing after escaping with his 10-second car from O'Connor in F&F. How O'Connor is doing (He's a FBI officer now lol). This movie is about American muscle and revenge. Dom's beloved Letty was murdered while doing undercover, in order to take revenge.. he gets into a race.. what's new huh? Though the storyline always revolve around racings, it just don't get so bored after all. Dashing through busy streets and tiny, narrow tunnels make it more exciting. For the women, it's probably watching this movie for Vin Diesel's muscles -.-.. Nice flick to consider during the weekend to hype up things! Music was pretty good and this is a must watch for F7F fans!

Rating: 8/10 (Btw, get it on DVD for collection!)

Shopaholic (Movie Review)

Movie Plot:

Based on the book by Sophie Kinsella, "Confessions Of A Shopaholic" is about one Rebecca Bloomwood who unintentionally lands a job writing for a boring financial magazine. Ironically writing about the very consumer caution of which she herself has not abided, Rebecca's wins critical acclaim, public success, and the admiration of her supportive boss Luke. But as she draws closer to her ultimate goal of writing for renowned fashion magazine Alette, she questions her true ambitions and must determine if overcoming her "shopaholic" condition will bring her real happiness.

My review:

Absolutely hilarious movie, though not a big budget film, i think my gang of friends truly enjoyed the movie (probably becos they are shopaholics themselves lol). Funny quotes and exaggerating moves in the movie, honestly not much of a plot but there is still a moral in the story itself. U will definitely luff for 3/4 of the show..

The male lead is charming though not really that handsome... but the show itself is about shopping.. so who cares abt the male lead haha!

GALS GO WATCH IT!!

Movie Plot:

In the early 1990's, a tractor mechanic from China nicknamed Steelhead illegally enters Japan to search for his girlfriend. To make ends meet, he joins his friend in Shinjuku in doing menial labour. Steelhead finds out that his girlfriend has married Eguchi, a Japanese Yakuza leader. Steelhead decides to stay on in Japan and work for Eguchi as a hitman. Soon, Steelhead gets used to the power and finds himself embroiled so deeply in the ways of the underworld that there is no turning back.

My Review:

You might have read, "COMPELLING ACTING BY JACKIE CHAN ETC", in my opinion.. it's just something fresh Jackie didn't do in his acting years. This time round he is serious but acting is so-so. If you are expecting some kungfu moves from him, you won't get to see any.

The movie is alright, 2 butt-aching hours in the cinema but was a little draggy towards the end. Oh, Jackie died btw =X.. A big yawn towards the end of the movie for me and Ah Wen... Some funny scenes here and there.. etc

But I liked Daniel Wu's acting in the movie, very down to earth turn bad boy character actually suits him lol. Little violence here and there but not too much, suitable for all ages.

Watch it if you want in cinemas, if not get the DVD to add in your Jackie Chan's collection.

My Review:

Oh John Cena, John Cena, just like the previous movie Marine.. he's unbreakable in this one too.. More explosions, more crazy stunts etc. I absolutely hate the one who film this movie, looks like a kid with a camera as it kept shaking here and there.. dislike it totally.. However, the theif's plot for revenge is actually pretty brilliant..

Thinking of watching it in cinemas? Scratch that idea IMMEDIATELY!

Friendship

Ladies and gentlemen, today I would like to touch on the topic friendship.

Sometimes you wonder how you first knew your close friends, and thinking back on your first impressions on the person makes you laugh at yourself.

However, at rare times, when friends become too close or "so you think", you tend to rely on your closest friend or your so-called "closest friend". No doubt friends are there for each other and help each other, but over-relying might cause some devastating effects. I have a few examples which I will elaborate at a later stage.

What happens if 1 of you are not that strong mentally? you tend to rely on your friend once something trivial happens. And what is the effect? Additional and unnecessary stress on that stronger friend. Well I wouldnt say dont help the weaker one.. but when he/she keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again, you will get sick and tired of him/her. Not only that, people around you get affected. This is what we term as EMK (Emo Kids).

Difference is some ppl had a smooth-sailing life and dont see life the way some others do, and also take things for granted most of the time. This does not apply to every case though, there are some rich or fortunate ppl who are constantly helping others in need, my respect goes out to them..

Also, jealously and expectations of your friend is common but don't overdo it. Do things willingly without expecting any return.

Sometimes you may ask why are your "friends" avoiding you or you simply can't click well with your friends? There are many answers depending on individuals, it could be you did something wrong / insensitive, or even simply just cant reach the same frequency! However, not having the same frequency doesn't mean you can't be friends with that person, believe it or not, somewhere out there someone will definitely share your same wavelength.. you just have to be patient though as not everyone have the luck.

Words may seem harsh at times or too blunt. But your friends won't do it without a good reason! Take a step back and reflect at your behaviour.. be more sensitive to your surroundings.. think back, are you giving them more trouble than having fun with them?

Lastly, comes the painful decision. Do you have the will to finally change for the good? Are you able to tolerate your friends if they keep committing the same mistakes? Will you leave? Will you hold on? Every individual has their own thinking, what's yours?

Mine:
Im a straightforward person, and will definitely go all the way to help my friend within my means. However, I'm one that will get tired easily if the problems persists and there is no improvement. Might not be a good idea to lend a helping hand at that point of time, you will have to let it go or give it some space and time

Detroit Metal City (Movie Review)

Movie Plot:

Soichi Negishi moved to Tokyo to chase his dream of becoming a musician playing stylish, Swedish-style pop. Instead, he finds himself leading the death metal band Detroit Metal City as the costumed and grotesquely made-up "demon emperor" Johannes Krauser II. Although he hates the role and the things he has to do as a member of the band, he definitely has a talent for it. Adapted from the hit Japanese comic book by Kiminori Wakasugi, the movie follows Negishi's antics as he tries to reconcile the two very different sides of his life and find out what it really means to achieve his dream.

My review / comments:

Male lead is Ken'ichi Matsuyama who is also the genius and famous "L" actor in Death Note. Wow, I think Death note was his best look man! He looked gay in this film. Ahem ok, back to topic.. This movie is freaking hilarious! A perfect movie for friends and have a good laugh. No doubt it's cheesy and corny at times but in this chaotic funny film, u can actually find the meaning in life...

However, important note to those who can't take coarse language well. This movie contains quite a number of scenes with coarse language (of course, what do u expect from a metal rock band huh?) and probably split personality link lol. Ever had a dream of what u wanna become when u are older? But in reality not all of us realises our dreams as life take a turn to a worse side that u never expected nor wanted. In this film, Soichi Negishi (Ken'ichi Matsuyama) dreamt of being a decent pop star, however due to a freak change of plan in pursuing his career, he ended up in a metal rock band called Detroit Metal City. He is very famous in his role though but unwillingly... met his crush once again years after graduation and made him think why he didnt get what he wanted in life... and the laughter actually begins from here.. throughout the movie, u might be able to link how similar your life is now and not what you imagined. His motto was to give ppl a reason to dream through his soothing music (not METAL ROCK!) and thus very demoralised.. however.. slowly he found out that he is actually giving ppl hope and dreams through his unwilling rock music.. and his journey goes on..

NO MUSIC NO DREAM!

Movie Rating: 7/10 (Decent score, but i truly enjoy the movie very much.. will definitely recommend ppl to get this on DVD!)

Race to Witch Mountain (Movie Review)

Movie Plot:

A modern re-imagining of its classic 1975 adventure movie "Escape to Witch Mountain," about a pair of siblings, endowed with paranormal powers, who goes on a run from a diabolical group of men who wish to exploit their abilities.

My review:

If you are in for some simple laughter, this is a good movie to start with. Filled with UFOs and alien mystery kind of stuffs with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson acting as the male lead brings a good laugh. It's a disney show, so don't expect too much action packed stuffs, just simple non bloody movie with a family theme targeted on all age groups.

The movie generally is so-so, with a little senseless plot though but Dwayne's facial expressions really made the movie a better one though sometime he might have overdone his expressions lol.

Rating: 6/10

I would say it's still worth watching in the cinemas during weekdays non-peak hours. Or if you have special discounts for the movie tix. Otherwise, u might wanna buy the DVD when it's out for home entertainment.

My dear brother recommended me this movie, just watch it today with Ah Wen, Er Jie and Ah Jie and gonna give my comments on it.

Movie Plot:
Chain (Chantawit Tanasaewe), a young projectionist, decides to join Yod's (Worakan Rojanawat) mission to illegally record a newly released horror movie. Chain falls asleep during the screening and wakes up to find that Yod has already disappeared and left his camera behind. Suddenly, the horror movie that they were watching in the cinema starts to happen to them in real life.

Firstly, it is more like a comedy to me than a horror movie... no doubt there are some real scare scenes. It was refreshing to see a horror movie that's not really like others.. this 1 is based on U watching the movie and what happens to you if you watch a particular hanging scene. Typical horror movie, u DIE!

Ok, my comments on why you SHOULDNT watch this movie in the cinemas:

1) Actor's acting was real bad, i bet i can appear more terrified than him in the movie

2) Movie plot is refreshing but lack common sense, there's no real ending and pretty ridiculous towards the end. Like I mentioned earlier, I laughed more than I got scared (Almost fell aslp).

3) Dont compare it with Shutter or other good horror movie, this is a fresh horror flick that will bore u to tears if you aint scared. Shutter really scares the shit out of u.

4) The ghost in the movie can scare kids probably, creatures in my XBOX 360 games like Resident Evil 5 and Dead Space are way horrifying.

5) what kind of horror movie ends with a soothing love song? LMAO

6) There's no lesson learn in this movie, probably not to film a pirated disc? =\

So guys and gals, please dont catch it in the cinema, aint worth your money. If you want, get the VCD or what. You'll probably throw it away anyway, so better to rent it lol. But of course, if u are timid, this movie will probably scare u for abit..

IT Show 2009 is crazy even on the first day! Took leave and accompanied Ah Wen to the IT Fair in search of a laptop (Pls see pic of HP-Compaq CQ45-402TX (NQ216PA)), costs us $1,8XX with some freebies and 5 years warranty. Good deal!

Standard memory 4096 MB
Memory layout (2 x 2048 MB) Memory layout
Internal drives 320 GB

Along with some freebies of antivirus (cheap version but who cares), cleaning kit, mouse and free upgrade of ram to 4G. Bad thing is, its quite scratchable.. got a few hairline scratches accidentally but not significant. However, the specs are terrific along with a terrific price, hard to reject the deal!

We actually took around 4 hours in the freaking fair.. goodness me we were so burnt out reaching home in the evening.. almost wanting to cry whahahhaha. Still feeling the shagness from yesterday.

There are lots of good deals going around, just gonna highlight some here.

If you are looking for a laptop / desktop, try going the booth for Harvey Norman or Courts. Though there are those individual brands selling their products, Harvey Norman and Courts offer alot more freebies and extended warranty too! Thats why we decided to buy our laptop with Harvey Norman..

For cameras, looks damn cheap this season.. Gadgets like thumbdrive prices are dropping.. great deals for HD-Ready TVs and Full HD TVs... printer pricing are so-so.. seems to me Macbooks are in demand and seen alot ppl bought them... Camera prices are going down as well!

I might be still going down on the last day to see if there are any more cheap deals.. though imagining the crowd on that day already kinda put me off...

Red Cliff 赤壁 1 & 2 (Movie Review)

Part 1 - The beginning of a war

It's set just right before the 3-Kingdom Dynasty period. Liu Bei and his loyal generals are on the run against Cao Cao's army. In order to fight back, they have to make an alliance with Sun Quan, the Sun Army. Zhuge Liang Kong Ming, a master advisor (Takeshi Kaneshiro) uses his smart thinking and guts to convince Sun Quan to make an alliance with Liu Bei's army.

In this movie, you will see the vast power of Cao Cao's army, by looking at the size of their army, you would think that it's impossible to fight them. For those who read up on the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, you will know this is a trademark victory for SUN and LIU army and the brilliance of 2 advisors namely Zhugeliang and Zhou Yu (Liang Cao Wei) from Sun Army.

Introductions to the famous warriors of Liu Bei will commence shortly after the start of the movie. Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun are the elite commanders of LIU Army. You will also be introduced to Gan Ning, Zhou Yu, Sun Shang Xiang and other great SUN warriors.

Alot of fighting and spilling of blood involved before the show-down at Red Cliff, also the fight of the naval armies. Sadly, that's when the movie ends. (Damn what a cliff-hanger!)

Rating: 9/10!

Red Cliff part 2 -

The story swiftly begins with both sides playing mind games with each other. Using plague as an advantage to war. As the winds are strong, both sides thought of using fire as a weapon in the upcoming battle. The wind was initially in favour of Cao Cao's army.

At one moment, Zhugeliang mentioned "the one who can grasp the momentum of the weather will win the war" and he predicted the wind will soon change in favour of the alliance. Mind games continued, resulting in Cao Cao killing 2 of his naval officers, leaving no one to lead the huge naval army. Zhugeliang knows they are outnumbered and realises they do not have enough arrows for the war as well. He devised a brilliant plan to gather the arrows in a bizarre manner. (Please watch to understand in full details).

Sun Shang Xiang sneaked into Cao Cao's army and disguised herself as a man to get information on their formations and to draw a map. In another turn of event, Liu Bei and his army dissolved the alliance after realising the odds against them, this however is explained as part of Zhou Yu and Zhugeliang's mind games to put Cao Cao's guard down. Soon the war starts in full scale and fighting begins.....

Personally, I dont really like the ending as it was different from the books. In actual fact, after the war, Liu Bei seized a part of SUN's land making it his and finally a home for his people and warriors. Therefore throwing the 3 big armies into a new era named THREE KINGDOMS.

Rating: 8/10

Hollywood's new attempt to remake the classic into a live action movie is a brave one but condemned by all.... I too am disappointed with this as this kills off the classic feeling and all. However, for Chow Yun Fatt's sake, I'm gonna watch it and see how sucky this movie is gonna be.

Watchmen - Movie Review

Sypnosis: In a gritty and alternate 1985 America, the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown. However, after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered, an investigation is initiated. The retired superheroes reunite and set out to prevent their own destruction with an extra mission to watch over humanity. In the course of doing so, they unwittingly discover a deeper and far more diabolical plot.

Movie Review (Courtesy of Teri Mak (My good sister!): Easy to understand english, and the movie is unique unlike other superheroes movies. Characters are not what they seem they are until you finish the movie. A little corny here and there but overall funny at the same time. Obviously action shows like this contain violence, but not to the extent of Sin City.

Personally I have not catch the movie yet, so I will try to catch it within the next 2 weeks and add on my personal view. Anyone out there watched it?

Sypnosis: Genius mathematician and high school teacher Tetsuya Ishigami (Shinichi Tsutsumi) has taken a fancy towards Hanaoka Yasuko, a lady working at a bento store. When he learns that Yasuko and her daughter have killed a person, he then helps the two of them to construct the perfect alibi. The police investigation runs into difficulty and Detective Kaoru Utsumi (Kou Shibasaki) seeks the advice of his friend, the brilliant physicist Manabu Yukawa (Masaharu Fukuyama). Ishigami is Yukawa's college friend. A fierce battle breaks out between the genius mathematician and genius physicist.

My sum-up: A brilliant brain wrecking movie which test your analysis and different angles to solve things. How people neglect important facts and get misled easily, how simple things can be made complicated by mere great planning. How love could drive a person to do extreme stuffs. How people can manipulate your minds by simply creating a illusion for you to believe in. How noble life is and how simply you interpret life.

All in all a fantastic japanese detective movie with lots of meaning in it. Do catch it in the cinemas or own it on DVD! Solve the mystery yourself!

He's Just Not That Into You (Movie Review)

A movie full of famous ppl like Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck etc. I would say it's more to a comedy than a romance show.

Basically it tells relationships between couples. How men woo women and how women gets infatuated with men etc. Even scandals involved and finding your true self, true happiness. This movie contains alot of meaning if you can get them all.

Out of my expectations actually, turned out to be a great movie. I will not really reveal too much of the details. Catch it while it's still in the cinemas, if not DEFINITELY BUY THE DVD. You can pass around to ppl who aren't in love, had a failed relationship, happy in love.. etc. All of them will learn something from the show, I assure you.. cos I did =)

It's crazy to think a quiet and deserted Eastpoint Mall came alive this evening!

Lots of shouting by fan girls and the queue to get Luo Zhi Xiang's signature was incredible. The attendance is way past the figure when S.H.E came just about 2 weeks ago..

Goodness me indeed, almost fainted due to the crowd turnout but managed to caught a glimpse of him dancing and singing LIVE! Some slick dance moves and lots of cheering

He sure is gaining fame at a tremendous speed... will upload a better looking video in due course!

Marley & Me (Movie Review)

Watched it roughly around last week. Finally we get to see Owen Wilson acting in more serious and less shitty roles.. Jennifer Aniston is stunning in this show, potraying the nobleness of a woman giving up her job for her kids while Owen Wilson is the ever stressful father...

The movie starts off with both characters settling down with their new found jobs (related to newspaper articles) and working hard. Aniston is a perfectionist and sort of have her life "planned" out in steps, which is funny in some sense as Wilson gets stressed out trying to have a baby with her. Eventually, Wilson's friend recommended him to buy a puppy for Aniston in order for her to get used to taking care of a "baby".

Marley is one of the puppies available, he appears quiet and mild at first and was sold at a "Clearance Price" thus branding him the Clearance Dog.. That's when things start to go bad for the couple...

Marley chews, bites furniture.. even in one occassion swallowed a necklace Wilson bought for Aniston which was hilarious.. Wilson had to wait for Marley to poo to get the necky back... Wilson became a columnist at one time and wrote funny stories relating to Marley and his family every week, giving a great boost to his career. Life gets hectic once their first child came.. Aniston start to think that Marley is a chore etc.

Fast fwd a little, they eventually have 3 children... everything settled down and Marley grows old.. Its those heartwarming and sad movies,where the dog died in the end. Watch it before it's over in the cinemas, not a bad movie in my opinion though Ah Wen commented the book is funnier.

Valentine's day! As always, looking forward to this day to spend with my special one (Ah Wen). It's amazing how love defies all odds.. it's 6 years now since we are together and we still love each other very much... Went out for a simple dinner at Waraku and presented her with a lovely blue rose and a prezzie (Pics will be uploaded soon). The present was a limited edition Zhang Hui Mei's necklace only available during her concert in Singapore last year.. Used my auctioning skills to get it online hehe..

Somewhere in February..

A repeat of mistakes after mistakes by my dad. I've become numb to these.. letters and calls that harrass our family... when will this ever end? I strive to move out to a place I call home in the near future.... abandoning my past and embracing my future..

Aww so sweet of u ladies~ As a guy, I feel a little awkward celebrating my bday in a big bang lol.. but thank you gals anyway.. love the STAGE shirt, Adidas bag and belt.. And thanks SD for the hair products!

What really surprise me was my beloved dear came down (even though she's really sick) with something she made herself.. I was really touched and had to hold back my tears hahahahahha.. it's really lovely, looks like much effort being put in.. I regret that Im pretty lazy doing DIY stuffs though... After work, she brought me to a place near Ah Moy called Sweet Indulgence.. Goodness me, I didnt expect to find a fine dining place here! Food was really expensive however superb! Had our fill and sent my sick dear back home in a hurry...

Overall, thanks to all who made my day... I really felt the warmth.. and I desire to keep this close to my heart =)

More birthdays and events coming up! Gotta gear up for it! Economic crisis nowadays.. who knows I might be out of job in the near future? Dont say I'm pessimistic.. I'm just getting prepared for the worst.. that's me, my line of defence....

We can always blame life to be unfair and unjust.. things just don't usually happen the way we picture it. I have grown to understand this as I grow older... Well, what we can do is to continue walking, continue to love each other and support each other.

It's heartbreaking to see someone you love so dearly suffer so much becos of various reasons. Many times, even the mighty me breaks down. Am I that cursed, I asked.

Strangely, everytime I encounter such things, the very next day I will be alright and see things in a different view again. In life, we have to accept what is right in front of us, though if there's a chance I can turn back time I will at whatever costs.

We shed tears, we try nto to make each other worry, we try not to make others troubled. In the end, it's all about love. I believe we all have the patience to paint the perfect picture in due course....

Will God see what we are doing and trying to achieve? Can the Angels give us a hand when we need it? I believe so... well meanwhile, I shall take the temp post as Angel Ray to those who needs it HAHAHAHAHA!

Goodness me, a 5 minute consultation for giddiness ends up with tons of medicine and a $75 bill... almost fainted.. that's about 1 day's pay gone.. tch those bloodsucking doctors.. Well sort of gotta a blood test as well to see my sugar lvl.. thank god its normal...

Many things happened for the past few weeks, dear getting knocked down etc.. I'm just too tired to think now...

A scary day

Approximately 12.15am on 22 Sept 08, Monday, while me and my girlfriend was crossing the road to McDonalds for our late late dinner, something unexpected happened.

For those who got the first hand news, yes, a errant and apparently drunk cab driver tried to beat the red light and knocked down my girlfriend while I narrowly escaped unharmed.

My heart stopped for awhile as I witnessed the whole damn thing happened... The next thing I did was holding my dear's hand and checked if she's alright and conscious. Thereafter, I proceeded to stop the driver and pulled him out of the cab. Heated words exchanged though the obvious fault lies with the driver. Why?

- We were crossing when the green man was up
- he was drunk apparently
- Many witnesses were nearby too

Minutes passed so slowly as I waited for the police and ambulance to arrive at the scene. Thankfully the cab wasn't driving at a very fast speed when it knocked down my girl. While the cabbie tried to deny all faults, I spurted angry words / vulgarities at him till passerby have to stop me from actually going physical on the uncle.

Shortly after the authorities arrived, I followed the ambulance to the hospital. By this time it's almost 1am.

After some check-ups and x-ray, my dear was diagnosed with a fractured wrist. Her poor wrist was swollen and my heart was shattering every moment of that night. Luckily, other than additional cuts and bruises, no other serious injuries.

After making payment, we went QiJi at CGH for our late late dinner cum breakfast. My dear was enjoying the treatment I'm giving her as her master hand was in a cast and I have to feed her haha. We lodged a police report at CGH and sent her home to rest (Note: her parents do not know about the accident yet)

So I sent Ah Wen home and told her parents what happened, some nagging and cursing followed hehe... Stayed for a little while and went home as I was real exhausted from the running about and my tired heart which was beating at a world record speed for the last few hours.

Reached home about 4am with my body and mind about to crumble from the ordeal. Tried to get some rest after much nagging from many many people.. Unfortunately the minute I close my eyes, the incident repeated itself in my mind (God damn, mind is really a amazing asshole). Rolled over in my bed repeated till morning 8am-ish, when I finally decided to drink my cough syrup to knock myself out for the day....

Didnt get much rest either, or maybe my body / mind was overworked... Couldnt recover by Tuesday morning (TODAY) and gotta extend my unpaid leave for more rest.. Sorry again for any inconvenience caused. If I can choose, I will stay with dear for the whole 6 weeks, unpaid or what, it doesnt matter... but I guess that can never happen as she will nag me to death!

Anyway, I would like to take this chance to thank all the kind souls who stopped and helped in some ways when the accident happened, and also to the people who are very concerned about us (Dont worry! We are fine ok?)

2 Sept 2008 - Worked OT for the day, my dear brought food for me! She cooked it (yummy!) very touched at her gesture..

3-5 Sept 2008 - Pretty stressed out by work, anger tend to get the better of me these few days.. lots of things happened in between.

I apologise for my attitude for this week. I probably got sick of being taken for granted, the devil in me is finding its way out AGAIN! muahahahahaha

Fatigue never leaves me this week, seems like I have wasted tons of energy on my work. Can't even enjoy a night's out without feeling tired.

Watch out peeps, there might be some changes to me for next week. For those who likes to irritate me, BEWARE!

Anniversary (5th year!)

5 long years have gone, come 1st Sept 08, it will be me and my dear's 5th year anniversary.

Hmm a very unique and busy anniversary as it is also.. :-

(a) Dear's father's bday;

(b) our firm's 53rd anniversary (like I care?);

(c) Nana's last day in our firm (sobz); and

(d) Our firm's 1st day in our new premises!

We were given an off day to recuperate from the pre-move operation to our new premises today. So I gladly took this opportunity to celebrate me and my dear's anniversary in advance!

We went comex and took a quick tour over all the stations. Nothing much to buy though lots of tempting offers hehehe.

Wanted to go Hanabi for our dinner but when I called for reservation at 4.30pm, it was already fully booked-.-

So instead, we went to Waraku @ Marina Square for dinner! For some reasons, the salmon was extremely delicious and fresh today.. Yummy! While eating, I unveiled dear's present to me...

GOODNESS ME! It is something I love! And have been looking for ages! A shirt with cufflings! (for acting cool!). I love the color, love the design and very touched that my dear got it for me... It's from a brand called Domanchi (no idea what that brand is though.. abit suang gu here..) but love it!

Thank you dear for the shirt, love it. But pls don't spend so much on me next time hehe..

However due to fatigue, we have to go back early... but I was a very happy person.. Sorry for not being able to spend a little more time with you today..

They might not appreciate what you have done, but you know deep down it's the right choice, the better one I would say. In life, sometimes you are given 2 wrong choices, you just have to choose the better one.

We, who suffer in silence, can only hope 1 day they see the light that we wish them to see. That's more than enough for us.

We, are the Dark Knights in this world. Do not detest us, accept the new revolution of good and evil. Things ain't simple no more, we will continue to play mind games in order to fight the evil. We are willing to be consumed by darkness to provide a beam of hope for others.

One could wonder why banks issue credit cards easily even though you know the customer never pays / never pay on time. They never think of the suffering families behind their high interest rates. In my opinion, there should be a strict rule to stop this problem once and for all.

My family too, has suffered from such a situation. Worse still, we can't stop the bank from issuing new credit cards to my D. The toll on us is getting worse, and the money? We never seen nor use a single cent... All we've been doing was just paying the minimum and continuing paying to keep our house from being auctioned off. Well, I will never know.. maybe one day I return home to see it being sealed off and I will have no place to stay. Thinking of this makes me really depressed.

If only I have more money or maybe hit the TOTO... I will definitely move out of this house which means nothing more than a sleeping place for me..

So something for greedy ppl that are earning their customers' interest right now, "FUCK OFF". I wish you know and see what's happening, I curse you feel our pain, our darkness and sometimes even desperation. Usually ppl who suffer from this are the families, not your customer.

If only 1 day I can break away from this chain of pain, I'm looking forward to that day... When our tears will stop flowing...

As promised by my dear, I get to taste her cooking yesterday!

A simple pasta set with soup.. yummy, although the carbonara tasted abit funny but all is good! =D

Chilled for a little while before we left her house for dinner and movie.. we were planning to watch "The Mummy - Tomb of the dragon emperor" at a earlier time slot but cinema was full! damn it and we settled for "X-Files: I want to believe".

Ok this movie is draggy k! For people who are interested in watching it in the cinemas, I advise you to stay away and buy the DVD instead. Both me and my dear almost fell asleep towards the end after we figured out the plot. However it was nice to see the x-files characters back in the big screen again.

One crucial disappointment, this movie ain't have no aliens!

Rating: 3/10

After watching the movie (ended about 11.30pm), we were bored so i suggested going for another movie! Looking through the time slots, the next timing for another movie was THE MUMMY! Yippee, movie was at 11.45pm so we took a quick toilet break and back into the cinema we go!

After the long and draggy X-Files movie, both of us were hoping Mummy can perk us up again with their hype. Indeed it was pretty decent, lots of graphics and pretty lots of funny scenes too, especially their humor. However, in this movie you don't really see much of Jet Li flaunting his fighting skills, which is of cos pretty disappointing. His scenes are mostly done up by graphics to make him almighty. Talking about Almighty, you movie goers might wanna see how he died.. which in my opinion, not so great for the almight emperor.

Rating: 7/10

Honestly still prefer Dark Knight hehe.... OUR NEXT MOVIE SHALL BE MONEY NO ENOUGH 2!

Learning process

I shall start off by saying that you can never fully understand one person just by hearsay. Well I will quote some examples:-

In a working environment, our judgements are usually based on perceptions and hearsay. Until you try to know the person, work with the person, then you will slowly understand why he/she was acting in that way etc.

But time is a cruel thing, and people tend to realise that only when the time is almost up... Why must such things always happen? I don't have an answer...

Of course I know the seniors in my work place are gossiping and also backstabbing me to a certain extent due to my working attitude etc. Honestly, I won't lie to say I'm not totally affected. However after sharing things with someone that I rarely or did not try to know previously, I learnt a huge bunch of things in a short span of time. Not only she showed me how blind and how foolish I was, I also realised that I should control my anger. So let me take this opportunity to thank you for breaking a new path for me. But just when we are getting to know each other, you chose to depart. Heartbreaking but all the best in your future endeavors!

Also take this opportunity to say sorry to the people I have hurt over the years. Be it that I was mean to you, sacarstic or even neglected you. However, I would wanna reserve some of my critics to some of you hopeless people out there, pouncing on every chance to take advantage of the good will of some nice souls. You shall get your karma soon =)

However, a note to those who do not understand me at all and only judge me by hearsay and rumors. I will prove to you people through my own way that you were wrong. I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I will lead you under my wings. I will make full use of this short-term chance as a representative to show you what I am really capable of. I will be pushy, I will be in control, and I will help anyone that requires help to see this move through smoothly. I will not belittle your hopes of me, I will make you proud.

Lastly, I thank you people (you know who you are) for giving me this opportunity and entrust this responsibility to me. For you, I will fight on. As you have given me a new path to walk on. In your absence, I will try not to disappoint you as I much as I can.

Quality time spent with dearest one and the movie Dark Knight!

Went out yesterday with my dear dear for our usual weekend cheap thrills. However this weekend wasn't exactly cheap hehe.

We managed to convince ourselves to pull our lazy asses to Plaza Singapura (I hate to go there for some undisclosed reason) and look to renew our anniversary ring! Our anniversary is coming up and we decided to get 1 for that special day. Ok, we chose our ring at Couple Lab, ehh the ring is kinda special, hard to explain.. will have to wait till Tuesday for collection (becos of the engravings)!

Damage done: $98-00 (it's still damn worth it considering it is a strong symbol of our love after 5 yrs)

Then we got hungry and settled down at LJS for dinner. Pfft, for some reason, people around us are talking exceptionally loud and really irritating. Ate as fast as we can and got out to our next stop!

Ah Hah! we found a shop clearing their warehouse stocks! Both of us managed to choose 2 t-shirts (2 for $10-00 leh!). Goodness me what a bargain!

After much walking, it's time to travel back to tampines for our movie, Dark Knight! Well if you wondered why didn't we watch it at Cathay or GV @ PS, it's actually thanks to those "loud" diners at LJS, we learnt that tickets were sold out hahahaha.

Earlier timings were full so we chose the 11.25pm show. Went to do our "stock up" aka groceries shopping at NTUC. Hmmm dear dear have been trying out her cooking, can't wait to eat the pasta she cook! But not sure whether I will ever get to try out =..(
Talking about Pasta, we caught one of our colleague eating at Pastamania! And she still claims she won't eat pasta till we move to our new office.. tch such weak will.. LOL!

- Shall cut the chase and go straight to the movie summary -

DARK KNIGHT

Finally it's time for the badass movie that I've heard so much about!

Ok, gonna make it short and sweet. ITS DAMN FREAKING GOOD! EVEN BETTER THAN IRONMAN!
This is by far, the best movie of a superhero ever! The plot was fantastic and exciting. Joker's acting was superb I would say, a very evil and psycho criminal! (Rest in peace Heath Ledger, it was a superb performance) Well, I'm not a big batman fan but I do know that in the comics / cartoons, he is so-called a Gotham crime fighting hero. However, the director choose to portray batman as a more complicated character in the movie version, which in my opinion, was pretty fresh and turn out really good. I love the ending especially, when a hero has to make tough decisions and also sacrifice his reputation to reignite the hope of the citizens..

It's just the same as real life, hao ren nan zuo! You can never please anyone, but a truly kind and fair person will work things to the good of all and not claim any credit. He/she rather be condemned, misunderstood or even hated by others, but as long as the decisions were right, that's enough for the person. Even if He/She has to live in the darkness and embrace the darkness, he/she still gives a ray of hope for others in trouble..

Alright you folks, am gonna get more rest today and hope that I don't sound like a duck tmr for KTV!

OK! Another reflection post!

MISTAKES

Sigh, I realised I am too gullible to clients.. While trying to help them with their ever endless queries to the best I can, sometimes it's just aint enough! So one fine day, I neglected a electronic mail from one of my client and probably didn't revert to her, caused a few headaches and stress for my superior. I'm deeply sorry for not being at my best this time... guess this is what ppl mean by "Shit happens!".

I will strive and I will fight on, be at my very best to every client I meet. You may dislike the way I work or you maybe a spoilt rich brat from the day you are born. But, as long as you are my client, I will give you my best out from my work, the fastest response and a reliable boy you can look to and rely on. I will show you I'M DA BEST!

Final note on this topic: I will be extra careful and try not to disappoint again ^^

RESPONSIBILITY

This concerns my new post as a Representative for my department.

I'm acting that it's nothing but I'm pretty excited over this new role. Although sad to say, it means more sai kang for me hahahahah!

It's been some time since I tried something new, a new role to fit in and help others around me. Well, I accepted this role because another of my colleague is getting older and might have difficulties doing some of the more tougher chores.

And wala! My first real meeting as a official rep today. Discussed about how we are going to make our move to our soon-to-be "new" office in August. Hmmm, I will say I'm wrong to judge some of my other colleagues at some point. Working with them actually inspires me and also so-called shed a new light on my view on them... Well, too early to judge but so far so good. Hope I can fit in this role as perfect as my senior that I'm taking over!

First task, nagging people to start packing. The other department rep and me have sort of discussed and come up with a plan to make things easier and smooth for others. It might be rush becos of time constraint, but I will help as much as I can!

Talk about responsibities hahaha, having to plan things for the department is quite tedious!

Last note for this topic: Thanks to all the people who put their trust and hope on me, I will try not to disappoint!

Guilty..

Ok, I shall start off by informing you ppl I was pretty sick on Thursday and Friday.. Actually now still a little sick...

While I was away from work for the 2 days, seems like many things happened.. Some junior staff pissed off my boss, my work became urgent and needed ppl to cover for me (oh dear?) etc. While ppl are slogging and having their torturous working days, I'm lying on my bed resting.. =(

OK, heard my Ah Jie (LEE & LEE 1) helped me with the amendments of some document during my absence and stayed till pretty late that particular day.. I WAS SOOO GUILTY! Even though of taking cab down to cover my work for a few hours.. however I was stopped by my another Ah Jie and my boss.. Sigh.

All I can say is THANKS AH JIE and another helpful friend of mine Julian. Oh by the way boy, don't be so obliging and help others do their work in FULL. You should know who am I refering to. Don't burn your Saturdays for her!

Ah, talking about Saturday.. I felt better and went back to work, trying to zap 300 sets of the finalised document that I mentioned earlier. Can you believe that I took almost 3 hours to zap just 200 sets of it? Goodness me indeed, and I used 2 machines to do that! Phew! Went back to rest even more as I felt a little groggy hehe...

Well, I'm blessed to have such friends to help me when I'm down. The least I can do for you ppl is that I promise I will try to be there for you gals and guys always! Notice I said try.. because sometimes I might not be able to be physically and mentally there with you throughout depending on situation. Rest assured, I will stick to my word!

Hmmm, still having blocked nose while typing this post.. better get more rest before kena nagged by my Jies again..

Reflections, Judgements..

Ok first to start off by reminding myself next week is my last ongoing enbloc completion! (hip hip hurray!)

Seen a couple of my friends' blogs talking about reflections and I thought why not do 1 myself as well hehe.. so here it goes!

DECISIONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL

Regarding my colleague: What can you do when you are reluctantly put under someone you barely know, what's worse.. you heard very unsettling rumors about your new boss? Management ain't helping and puts you to work with him/her because it's sort of a "promotion"? But is it true? Is there something more complex than this?

Seems so to me, after considering all the factors affecting possible decisions. Such a opportunity just seems too good and unreal to me. If the new boss is really up to something cheeky or funny, I probably might have to rely on my devilish side and even my fist to warn him/her to keep out.

UNSETTLING TIMES

Spoke to one of my friend on some of my unsettling factors happening to me at the moment. Finally decided that I need a break of maybe ranging from weeks to a month to recover and find back my old self.

Will it benefit me? Yes and maybe no... I'm just afraid I might lose my drive to work and eventually lose myself again.

But then again, I've been through lots of pain, suffering and even darkness. I believe I will stand back up stronger and even more motivated. I must repay to all who have helped me, believed in me all these years. I MUST NOT GIVE UP ON MYSELF AND ON MY LOVED ONES!

JUDGEMENT

Sometimes how I wish I can pass judgement on evil people around me! If only I have a book like "Death Note", just by writing one's name and cause of death.. The feeling of being able to control someone's pathetic life is great muahahahah.

It might be plain evil but I just can't bear to see people suffer insults after insults. People suffering because others are plain stupid or plain difficult to handle.

If only I have the power to judge..

MONETARY PROBLEMS

Life is funny, some people just have the luxury of being rich. Some work their whole life and never be rich. Some spend money like they print money, some scrimp and save to support their own lives.

For me, I'm pretty content though pretty restricted on my overall savings. For me it's easy, spend if I feel like it and worth the money. Save more for the future (with my ah wen) and be happy with what I have. Although it's really hard I admit, but worrying too much doesn't help brighten your already stressed life.

For people who know me, please don't treat me like a poor boy. I can manage my life at the moment thanks to you peepz! Please do not pamper me too much! I will feel really really bad... =(

Let's just say I am able to carry the heavy stone at the moment? =)

LASTLY, for unhappy friends out there with any sorts of problems they are facing right now. Don't fred, things happened for a reason, it's up to you making the right decision and grow from there. Try not to worry too much and live life to the fullest, msot importantly, be happy!

1st week of July

PHEW, what a hectic week I have!

Problems and problems arise for the whole of this week, busy counselling, giving encouragement and advice to others... Perhaps that makes me look so tired and shag this whole week.

Ponder about alot of things nowadays as well.. While counselling others, I'm picking up pieces of myself along the way.. Felt a little lost for awhile at times but things have to move on.

There are so many things I can help with but there are oso so many I can't. And usually the ones that I can't are the ones that hit me the most.. So helpless at times, so frustrated at times. Luckily true friends are always there for you, though they are also very tired with things on their end.

I have this friend who said "Sometimes you don't put too much feelings to a friendship / relationship, so you won't get hurt". Often, I put in too much effort and feelings in things I do. Reflecting on what she said, it's true in a way (defensive way) but deep down inside I don't think it's right. Without putting in effort, you don't see results. Without putting in feelings, you won't feel emotions. Mix them together and you get a INCOMPLETE you. Somewhat strong and defensive but empty deep within.

Then again, different ppl have different views. I can say I'm facing some problems myself, however I'm not giving up just yet! Never ever I want to see close ones end up like my old self. It hurts to see the shadow of me suffering in darkness.... Scary to even look back...

So my dear friends / close ones (you know who you are), please don't give up and don't isolate yourself and close up your inner world. I'm here to help and so are your friends.. We can work towards a happy ending if we try to...

The movie outing with my dear dear, my er jie (Sze Yee) and my da jie (Jolene) was pretty fun! Ok, a little summary of the movie:-

Predictable storyline with of cos the main char (the cute doggy) died. The movie is overall ok for a tear or too (yes I shed tears! I'm so full of loveeee!!) Might make u reflect on your life, and also your love for your pets...

Ok now for the irritating part, there's this gal sitting infront of us... then came the "sad" part of the movie, she freaking cried out LOUD! oh dear spoilt all of our mood to cry.. pfft, even tears couldnt flow due to the annoying and I would say hideous crying... After the movie, we went for a short chat at MacDonalds with dear ordering the fragrant jasmine tea (a little diluted this time round). Chit chat till almost 11pm and we went off..

Hope we can do this this some time again!

Stress

Had the biggest headache yesterday morning, thus unable to go to work..

On Wednesday, I felt that I could faint anytime during dinner at Waraku.. Wa, never been so serious before.. Doctor told me to rest more, and try to relax.. Stress from work / personal life affects..

Well, I can't really control the stress at work and life isn't it? hahahaha.. how I wish life is so simple... 9 to 6 job, knock off, go home play games, got time go out with frens and my dear.. get HIGH pay (i wish..) no family problems! That will help...

Felt a little emptiness in myself nowadays... Seems that I cannot accomplish everything I wish to.. My desire for my goals are fading away at a rapid speed...

P.S ITS FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Going to catch 10 promises to my dog this evening! wooohooo!!

I am very fortunate to have wonderful friends cum sisters pampering me and showering me with concern, wanna take this opportunity to say thank you all out there!

Not only learn alot of work related stuffs, also learnt new things about friendships.. letting go and of course sharing burdens...

Not to worry Jies! I'M THERE FOR YOU ALL!!!

Problems are in everyday's life, it's how we look at it and how we deal with it.. heartbreaks are not uncommon, sadness sometimes cant be avoided, disappointments are unexpected. We have gone through pretty tedious times together now, I'm glad to see my sister improving alot since last time...

Last but not least, DO NOT CARRY BURDEN BY YOURSELF! We are created to share each other's problems...

P.S - of coz my dear kept me sane in 1 piece, am grateful for that.. I will work hard for a better future for both of us ^^

Tuesday Dinner

Interesting dinner outing with colleagues today..

First we had dinner at a organic "restaurant" at Bugis.. Surprisingly nice, but I think better don't eat too much and too often.. might get too "heated" from the herbs etc. But generally it was a pretty decent meal.

And due to overwhelming response on not being full, we went to our 2nd destination in Bugis, a vegetarian store this time.. I will say I'm pretty shocked at how much my 2 ah jies can eat ahahahah!! Hey its another good store, will bring my dear along to try the food there next time..

Had a nice laugh throughout the time together.. wow.. times like this aint so bad afterall.

Hmm... I wonder what's next to come...

ITS FRIDAY, just 9 hours to weekend!!! But what is this weird feeling I'm having... Neither sad nor happy... Just maybe a little frustrated on myself...

A normal evening out for dinner with colleagues turned out to be a rainy day for one of our friends..
